Each bore has a turkeys nest or steel tank that gravity feed to a number of troughs.

Two dams are new (developed over the last five years) and all dams were desilted in 2018.

One large central set of yards (“Homestead Yards”) and two additional sets.

All yards are of steel construction, are equipped with sprinkler and water trough systems, bud box/weigh box (scales) systems and connected to the homestead complex via wifi connection.

Homestead Yards: Morrissey hydraulic Weaner cradle and Warwick hydraulic crush, hydraulic three way draft, five way race draft, undercover work area, loading/unloading ramp, multiple holding/working yards and four weaner pens (2,000 head capacity) equipped with shade covers.

Big Flow Yards: Morrissey hydraulic Weaner cradle and Warwick hydraulic crush, undercover work area, loading/unloading ramp and multiple holding/working yards.

Tootoos Yards: Warwick hydraulic crush, five way race draft and portable calf cradle.

Three lane way systems (10km, 2km and 3.5km) service the central yards. This laneway system increases efficiency in cattle movement, reduces OH&S risk and improves animal welfare.

The project data room contains a detailed plant and equipment list. There is c$1.3 million (purchase price) in plant and equipment on station.

Since acquisition, the vendor has undertaken significant capital works to improve the holding and the station now requires little, if any, further capital investment.
Since FY2018 the vendor has invested over $2.93 million (excluding plant and equipment).

Significant investments include:



On water storage and distribution infrastructure. This has included bore refurbishment/redrilling, new bores, dam construction, new tanks, troughs, pumps, pipeline, solar conversion and generators


On installing and upgrading yards and fences


On buildings, including upgrades, new accommodation and kitchen


On information and communication technology

Nerrima Station is presently enjoying an excellent wet season with 416.7mm of rain falling over January and February 2021.
